The basement projects undertaken are mostly domestic and include underground swimming pools.

The formation of basements to increase the habitable space below domestic properties has become increasingly popular, in particular in Greater London. The cost of forming a basement can often be balanced by the resultant increase in value of a property.

As Party Wall Surveyors we are also commisioned to act for either the Building Owner or Adjoining Owner. When acting as Adjoining Owners Surveyor we, as Structural Engineers, are also asked to carry out a check on the basement designs submitted.
